Two weeks ago, Angela shared a great way to train our children in the word – by having them draw pictures!
So this week I thought I’d share one way we have been growing in God’s word this summer.
As you see in the picture – we have a verse of the week. All of our verses this summer focus on missions, reaching out and caring for others. So the week I took this picture it was I John 3:18. This past week it was Luke 9:23. I have listed the 4 ways we can live out our memory verse. This list was found in Mitzi Eaker’s book “Missions Moments 2 – 52 Easy-to-Use missional messages and activities for Today’s Family.”
Each day we say the verse out loud and discuss ways we can apply it. We go down through the list of 4 applications and ask if anyone can share a way that they have lived out the verse that day. This is giving the entire family accountability and good discussion.
This board was previously called my “Heart Chart” where I did vice and virtue training. I shared about that here.
