Week 1: Let’s Get Started!

Blog post headers-week 1

Oh dear friends!

I’m so excited to finally begin this study with you! There has been a lot of work and excitement behind the Good Morning Girls scene in anticipation of YOU. (all 13,000 women and that’s not even counting all our international sisters who are also joining us from around the world…but hey, who’s counting!)

God is moving….do you feel it? I LOVE seeing women from around our world get excited about studying God’s Word together! Ohh sweet friends, what an exciting time in which we live!

It was amazing yesterday reading all YOUR comments, hearing about YOU and YOUR lives….ohh please know that blesses us to hear from you! We love you dearly and no matter where you are in your faith journey, you are welcome here. Whether you are just seeking to know more about God or you have walked with our Savior for most of your life, we love having the chance to get to know you, pray for you and encourage you as you Intentionally Focus on Him. Good Morning Girls is a community of imperfect women who love the only one who is perfect: Jesus. So relax, pull up a chair and join us for these next 8 weeks as we study God’s Word TOGETHER! You want to know something? It just wouldn’t be the same without YOU!

Let’s Get Started

“Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children….” Ephesians 5:1 NIV

We are reminded in today’s SOAP verse that we are to be imitators of God. Who do you imitate in your life? I know in mine, I watch my 3 little girls imitate me all the time. I catch them walk around our house in my shoes, carrying my purse or wanting to wear my clothes. As kids get older I see them imitate rock stars, professional athletes or movie stars. I believe this desire to imitate is created by God because we are called to imitate Him….not “them.” In our quest to find a role model in life, we settle for substitutes who fail us, lead us down dangerous roads and do us harm.

But not God. He has come to give us life and life abundantly. (John 10:10)

In Ephesians 5:1-14 we see that we are to live as children of light. Our lives are meant to point to God. We are to live different from the world….to be in the world but not of it. The way we talk, act and treat our bodies needs to reflect the difference Christ makes in us. Of course we all are a work in progress…some of us are further along than others, but we are all called to imitate Christ. The only way we can do that is to slow down and spend time reading His words. If we want to live like Christ we must first spend time with Him.

I remember when I was younger I wanted to be like a certain pop star. I would STUDY her videos, read everything I could get my hands on about her and tried my hardest to look like her. I would dress like her and wear my hair like her. I spent hours in front of my bathroom mirror pretending to dance and sing like her…..ohh friends please tell me I’m not the ONLY one who acted like this in my pre-teen years!!!

You see imitating someone takes time. It takes concentration and commitment. If you REALLY want to be like someone you know that you need to intentionally focus on them. That’s what we need to do with Jesus…intentionally focus on Him so that we can become more like Him.

Week 1 Reading Plan
Good Morning Girls- Women's Online Bible Study #Intentionally Focused

Week 1 Challenge
Let’s be intentional in developing a habit of spending time in God’s Word over the next 8 weeks. This week commit to when you are going to read the daily Bible passage and where you will do it. For example I am committing to having my quiet time from 6:00-6:30 at my kitchen table. Once you decide on the when and where, write it down and tape the committment card on your bathroom mirror so you see it every morning and every night. For fun, take a picture of your commitment card and share it with us on our Facebook page or on our other forms of social media using the hashtag #IntentionallyFocused.

Week 1 Memory Verse

Good Morning Girls- Women's Online Bible Study #Intentionally Focused Week 1 Memory verse

My prayer for our community:

“Sweet Jesus,

Thank you for the mighty work you are doing in and through this ministry. Please help us as we begin this 8 week journey to keep our eyes intentionally focused on You. Pour out your spirit upon us and help us be your hands and feet to our hurting world. Help us to see others through Your loving eyes. I pray that we will not only read Your words but that we will be women who put Your words into action in our lives and around the world. We lift up our families, our communities and our countries to you today! Amen.”

  2. Annika gingerich says:

I am committing to every morning at 5 am in my kitchen.
Will you be using you version this time too! I cannot find the current study on it.

  3. Annika gingerich says:

Will the study be available on YouVersion?

    • Good Morning, I wasn’t able to find the study by searching for it either. But if you will click on the link Angela has posted in the blog post it will take you to the reading plan on your computer. From there you can log into your account and start the plan. Once I did that, the plan showed up on my app. I hope this helps.
      Have a great day!

    • Hi Annika! If you search for Good Morning Girls on YouVersion, you should find it now. :o)

  4. I commit to waking up at 5 a.m. to do the GMG Bible study on my couch each morning.

  5. I am still trying to figure out how what is what for this study. I am linking everyway possible & will figure out which is best. Today I had extra time to do just that. Tomorrow I wont. So!

I am committing to do thr study

  6. I am committing to wake up at 5am every morning and dig into God’s Word from until 5:45am while sitting at my kitchen table with a cup of tea. I can’t wait for God to teach me His ways and for him to change my heart.

  7. Hello, I study usually in the mornings about 8. I don’t set a limit t my time. I’m usually in my bedroom or dining room table.

  8. I plan on getting up at 6am and studying in my living room. If my kids get up too early, then I will wait until naptime and study then. I plan on using the youversion app, all of the study material, bible, and also read women living well!

  9. I am committed to doing my GMG bible study energy morning at my dining room table. I’m so excited to Intentionaly read God’s word and then live it for Him everyday! I want this for the rest of my life.

  10. I’m going to add this study to my mornings You Version plans @ 6 on the couch with my cup of coffee.

  11. Tami Throener says:

I’m Intentionally focused on waking at 5:30 preparing for the study at my dinning room table from 6:00-6:30. I’m so excited to learn what God will show me through the study, and how he will work through my life as my commitment to being in His word daily, praying daily, and focusing on His goodness in my life will change me forever!

    • Ohhh sweet Tami! Time in God’s Word is never wasted! I love how He continues to shape me and mold me through my time spent with Him. :)

  12. I pray, read, and do devotions every morning after the kids leave for school, around 7:30. So I plan to do this study than also. I am so excited to be a part of this group.

  13. Dionne Palomino says:

    Good morning! :)
    Happy first day, everyone!
My commitment is to wake up one hour earlier than needed for work (varies from day to day) and study on my living room sofa before the house wakes up. :)

  14. It has been quite a few weeks since I’ve intentionally gotten up in the morning for a quiet devotional time when no one else is up in our house. I commit to get up at 6 am and do my bible reading and study in my living room. With coffee of course!

  15. I can only see the Living like Jesus, Advent and Thanksgiving studies in the You Version. Any suggestions? I tried signing in to their web site and searching in my app.

  16. I like to read/study my bible when I first get up. I find that if I don’t, I’m constantly putting it off during the day to get other things done; then it’s late and I’m too tired to comprehend or I put it off until tomorrow. So I’m committing to early morning everyday in my warm & cozy bed.

  17. Cheryl Hall says:

Still no info coming to me on this study to get me started, I did sign up as an independent study. Thanks :)

  18. Mary Tullila says:

I am doing the Made to Crave study as well…committed to that during my mornings. Since I’m a night owl..I’m #intentionallyFocused on this study at night. My OneWord for 2014 is #Focused…this study fits ! As a older empty nester now I often think back on my teen yrs. Back then things were different. I didn’t have time to imitate those I read about in my Tiger Beat mags & such. Trying to get thru school & learning how to be a future wife and mom someday. My parents pounded a work ethic into me so I didn’t have much free time. I however enjoyed listening to the radio..music is still a big thing lol.
    Excited about this study!

  19. Kristin W. says:

I commit to getting out of bed at 5:15 AM and getting started with my Bible study at 5:30 AM at my dining room table with my coffee in hand!

  20. Debi Schuhow says:

I study whenever I can. A few minutes here and there. It’s getting to be something I do here and there all day long.

  21. Veronica Barnes says:

I am doing this study first thing in the morning before my family wakes up for the day. My favorite place to study is snuggled under a blanket on my couch with coffee. I am looking forward to learning with all of my GMG sisters :)

  22. Jennifer P says:

I am going to get up at 5 am every morning and get into God’s word from 530-6…. With my tea at the dining room table!

  23. Am intentionally focused to committing this study as part of my morning devotion plus reading God’s word. I believe thru this study, God is in the business of changing me into a new me. And if am changed, people plus things around me will not be the same again too. I focused on letting God make me a person that He intended me to be….. being more like Him, Amen!

  24. NancyDawn says:

I am committing to being intentional in developing the habit of spending time in God’s Word over the next 8 weeks. I commit to do this study every morning from 6-6:30 a.m.
    Thank you GMG!!
    God Bless.

  25. I wish I could do my study in the morning, but I already get up @ 4:30 am for work, any earlier and I wouldn’t be able to concentrate. So I will be committing to do my study in the evenings after dinner. I’m in the process of changing an extra bedroom into my personal space in the house for my quiet time with the Lord. Thank you for your dedication to so many by providing this study!

  26. I’m really drawn to do this study with GMG this go ’round because when choosing my focus word for the year it came down to “Intentional”. I spend so much time wasting time, opportunites and missing out on the little moments that I wanted to see if I could be more intentional with what God has given me. My oldest is 15 and has started driving. If I blink too long he’s going to be out of the house and headed off to college soon. My daughter is 14 and studying for her high school entrance exam. . . she’ll be in high school next year! I also have a 10 year old and an 8 year old. They are growing up so fast. Where does the time go. So I’m looking forward to this study teaching me how to slow down and be intentional with all that God’s given me, including a relationship with him. I intend to do my study before everyone wakes up, around 5:00-5:30. I will have a back up plan, because I know I’ll have some of “those days” and I know I’ll have the house to myself once the kids are off to school, so my alternative time will be starting anywhere from 8-8:30 am, depending on when I get home.

  27. Homeschooling 4 kiddos often varies my when and where to study. Sometimes it’s in the afternoon/evening in my recliner. Sometimes, like this morning, it’s in the morning at my kitchen table. I am so thankful to be able to read and study God’s word with this community! I have, and love, the Women Living Well book.

  28. I try to wake up between 5:30 and 6 to pray and do my study before my guys wake up. Sometimes it may be 6:30 before I am up due to kids not sleeping well, but I try to get it done before they get up and we start the day. I do mine on the couch in our living room.

  29. I complete my study before my family rises between 6:15-7 am. I study in our room. My materials are next to my bed so I read before my feet hit the floor.

    • I use to keep my materials next to my bed too, LaTonya! I loved being able to reach and grab them before my feet even hit the floor!:)

  30. Vikki Kinsey says:

    Good Morning Ladies!
I am so excited and very thankful to begin Intentionally Focused with you all! I am committing to doing my study every morning at 5ish with my first cup of coffee. I look forward to sitting at my desk and/or outside on my patio weather permitting, soaking in some way over due much needed God time!
Much Love and Thanks for you all! Blessings!

  31. Jamie ward says:

I am committing to doing my bible study at 5 am at my dining room table.
Thanks you for the wonderful wake up call!

  32. Lee patterson says:

My when is between 6 AM and 7 AM each day. My where is going to change though. It will depend on how cold it is in my house. Sometimes I will do it in my office, sometimes I will do it in my closet, and sometimes I can do it in my sunroom.

  33. NANCYS1128 says:

I am committing to starting my study time every morning by 5am, as I have for the past year-plus of these studies . I do it in the living room in a the wing-style office chair next to the fireplace. (The only thing that would make it better would be if there were a fire going.) My routine is to get up, get the coffee going, read and write the verse(s), get my first cup of coffee, and finish the last three parts of the SOAP method.

It is only through God’s grace that this works for me as I am a night owl and often don’t go to bed until midnight. But since I work full-time outside the home, this is the only thing I’ve found that actually works for me. And since this isn’t the only study I am doing right now, I’ll be juggling the others into my evening hours.

  34. I commit 5:45 to 6:15 am. My husband does his readings during this time so I will as well. Important to me to continue to grow in Christ.

  35. I pray and read my Bible/devotionals every morning usually between 6 and 7 a.m., so I plan on doing this study during that time. I’m excited to get started!

  36. Angela S. says:

I am committing to 5am bible study in my home office.

  37. I have signed up on the blog, but am not getting the emails for some reason? Can anyone help?

  38. I pray and read my Bible/devotionals every morning usually around 6 to 7 a.m., so I plan to do this study then. I’m excited to get started!

  39. velia basson says:

I am committing to get up every morning at 5:00 and doing my study in my bedroom

  40. I’m not a morning person either and find it difficult to get anything “extra” done in the morning aside from greeting the kids ready for school & out the door. However, I am going to make a great effort to get up before them and read on the couch with my coffee. If I don’t do it then, I will do it after the kids go to bed. Being a part of this is very exciting to me! I look forward to reading God’s word more consistently and becoming a more positive person, better wife and mama. “No matter what may come my way, my life is in His hands”.

  41. I’m a little confuse, this is my 1st study guide and i would like to know if I need to print the Study guide with the Prayer Journal? And how do i use the prayer journal?
I’m committing to start the morning at 5am, reading the bible and doing this study guide that way i will be ready for my kids when they get up and my day will be completely different with God in it.

Thanks, looking forward to this new way of life.
    Fam

    • Hi! I’ve printed the study guide and it has been SO helpful to have with me to write on. The prayer journal helps to record your prayers and answers for every area in your life.

      • There’s examples in the Study Guide. Once you printed out you’ll see. Today’s video shows how you can put it in a binder. I am sure you can also copy the questions onto a notebook or computer and answer them there, too.

      • I can’t find the study guide to print out. Please help!

        • Hi Carol!

Subscribe to our blog and ALL our materials will be listed at the VERY bottom of every GMG email that you get from us. :) Our blog posts go out on Mondays-Wednesdays-Fridays!:) Hope that helps!:)

  42. I commit to do my Bible Study on the kitchen table at 5:00 am when my children are sleeping.

  43. I am doing this study on my own since all the groups are full and was wandering if there was a way I could get the digging deeper questions that leaders normally send each day?
I commit to spending time with the Lord in prayer, bible reading, and study each morning 6:30 on the couch with coffee!!
    Thanks!

  44. My goal is to do it every day from 9:30 to 10:00 in the morning. Before we get started with school! The plan is to do it right here at my computer desk but I may mix it up if that doesn’t work well.

  45. I started today by reading through the Bible verse and I started my soap but not completely done with it yet. I will find a time every day b/c between teaching, tutoring, children, exercising I cannot commit to the same time every day. I promise to be more diligent though in reading and studying w/ the group.

  46. Just wondering if it’s possible to get our weekly memory verse in a notecardish size printable? Would be great to toss in our purses if it’s possible! (I know y’all work really hard on these studies so if it’s not possible, I completely get it!)

  47. Tammy Bourget says:

I am committed to do my bible reading and study each morning when I awake at my computer and on the couch.
    Thank you and God bless!!

  48. I am committed to reading and studying the bible daily between 11:30 am and 12pm at my desk at work. I plan to do this on my lunch break to fully take some “me” time and study His word to bring me guidance through the rest of my day.

  49. I am committed to learn more about and be closer to God. I know that I am supposed to be involved in this bible study because God guided me to this website. I am beside myself with joy and anticipation to see what He has in store for me. Please continue to pray for me so that I will continue to focus on learning more of God’s Word.

  50. i have committed to doing my bible study in the mornings from 5-6 am at the kitchen table. The best way to start my days!

  51. I can’t find where to print off the material for this study. Keep trying to find
    soap pages ect…..

    • You’ll find all of our materials at the very end of every GMG email that we send out, Judy!:) Subscribe to our blog, confirm the subscription and the next time we send out an email (Monday-Wednesday-Friday) you’ll get our resources!:)

  52. I am normally up in the mornings with coffee and my study stuff bible, tablet, etc. I usually sit in my husbands chair next to the window lol

  53. I’m not a morning person so I’ve committed to doing it at lunch time.

  54. I’m not a morning person so I’ve committed to do this study either at noon or 3pm.

  55. I’m committed to 6am quiet time :) if we just joined today can we still get printable study materials for adults and children?

  56. I’m excited to start another GMG study after enjoying a few already! With 3 kids 4 and under, and expecting #4, my schedule tends to be crazy and mornings are tough for me. Right now I am trying to do it during afternoon quite time, if that doesn’t happen, then before bed!
I also want to share a Bible study resource that I’ve created for studies like this, as well as notes and journaling, or references for other personal studies. I have several beautiful designs and I think they would be great for a study like this! If you let me know that you’re part of the Intentionally Focused study with me, I’ll give you a fun surprise!
Looking forward to learning and growing in God this season!

  57. Jessica Reno says:

I am so excited about this study! Thank you ladies for doing this ministry!

  58. I am committed to sitting down at my kitchen table at 6:30 each morning to dive into this study. In addition, I am committing to do the kids study with my son (3 1/2yr) each afternoon. Today after lunch and before his nap we did “our Bible study” together. His attention span of course is that of a 3 year old so reading the entire Bible reading wasn’t super effective until I started paraphrasing it. He loved the memory verse though and we added actions to it. After he woke up from his nap he was excited to do the verse with me again and he has it halfway memorized already, I had to stop and look at it again and again! :) I love that you includes this children’s study, thank you.

  59. catherine says:

I am committing to spending time each evening as I am able to spend time in gods word and in my bedroom.

  60. this is really great! I am always amazed at how God puts things together so effortlessly…my pastor last night preached on Lot and how he allowed the things around him to fashion his life and his family. Then this morning I came across this Bible study and the first day is about being in the world but not OF the world! I’m so excited to be apart of this!

  61. Laura. kreitler says:

I have three small children so I am going to do mine at 8 pm in my bed when they go to bed. So looking forward to this. Made a binder and everything.

  62. I am also doing the Made to Crave study along w/this so I am committing to do this study outside on my back porch at lunchtime. The kids will be in school and I can relax with a cup of coffee and read God’s word.

  63. I am excited about getting into a bible study and I am praying this gets easier to follow.. I am feeling a little lost right now with trying to find all the material for this study. I am making an effort in committing to this bible study every morning at 5:00 am…

    • Hi sweet Cheryl!

So glad you are joining us! All you need for this study is your Bible, print out our study guide or just print out our reading plan and subscribe to our blog so that you will begin receiving our Monday-Wednesday-Friday blog posts. :) That’s it!:)

  64. As a stay-at-home mom of two children, free time or quiet time is a rarity. Usually, when I have this small amount of time each day, I am either playing on the computer or catching up on the chores that pile up every day. To become intentionally focused on the Word, I am committing to taking this time to complete my readings and to interact with what the Lord is telling me. So whether this time be late at night (like right now) after my children have gone to bed, or I find spare time during the day, I will be shifting gears and putting the Word first.

  65. 5:45 am living room, chair by the wood stove

  66. I have committed to wake up at 5:30 and read and study before my feet hit the floor! It’s such a great feeling!

  67. stephanie says:

Was it Debbie Gibson Angela? :)

  68. Michele West says:

I’m committing to 5:30 every morning with my hot tea at my kitchen table!

  69. Kris Jackson says:

Is there a week 1 memory verse?

  70. So I can no longer sign up for this study, correct? Can I still just follow along with all these posts? sad that I saw it too late.

    • Absolutely, we’d LOVE for you to follow along with us Heather. And feel free to invite some of your friends to do it with you if you’d like. :) Our Official enrollment is over but that doesn’t mean you can’t create your own group and/or follow along with us. :)

  71. I don’t see anywhere to print off the study guide. It might be that no more enrollments are taking place. This is something I don’t understand. If you’re encouraging women to join why is there a cut off on those who can join. Even if you want to just follow along by yourself you can’t print off the study guide. Confused!

    • Hi Angela,

Our study guide and all the rest of our resources are listed at the VERY bottom of every GMG email that you receive from us. :) All you need to do is subscribe and confirm the email. Then the next time we send out a blog post (Monday-Wednesday-Friday) you’ll be able to download all our materials for free!:) The reason we have a cut off is so that our GMG leaders have time to meet their new women in their groups and have them all setup and ready to go by the start of the first day. :) It’s also a way of helping the groups get to know each other without women constantly coming in and out and disrupting the group connection. :) You are always welcome to start your own group with some of your family or friends, or follow along with us individually……either way we love having you. ;)

  72. I too tried to join the current study. It is full. I will be doing the study alone in my home. Is there a link to print off the pages/study guide?
Thank you for making this study available. I need some “intentional-ness” in my life.

    • Hi Terri,

Yes at this time all our groups are now full! We have over 13,000 women enroll and are filled to the brim!!! Such an amazing problem to have!:) Yes, subscribe to our blog and you will see all our resources listed at the very bottom. Click on the links and you’ll be able to download the files!:) Our blog posts go out on Mondays-Wednesdays-Fridays. :)

  73. I tried to enroll and couldn’t, but that’s OK – I’ll be studying solo. :-) This comes at a really good time for me. I just lost a job, and I’m the main breadwinner in our home, so it’s particularly scary to lose my income. I’m trying to be intentional about seeking God’s will, really listening to where He wants me to go, and I’m really excited about this study.

  74. And for this week’s challenge – I’m not committing to a specific time, as I hope to have job interviews at some point, but I’m going to sit down at our kitchen table sometime while the boys are in school and my husband is at work, and it’s just me and the Lord.

  75. Sarah Bowling says:

I read the memory verse and pray at 7:30 am while still in bed with my sleeping baby and then during afternoon nap time I take an hour and go into my office and do my soap and read and pray. I know it’s not morning but I find it works best for me! :o)

  76. After a long day of work (I’m a Database Administrator so my days are spent staring at my computer all day), I’ve committed myself to taking as much time as I need after dinner to relax in my “woman cave” with a cup of tea and spend some time the Lord.

  77. I am committing to getting up at 5:30am to do my GMG Bible Study!! It’s going to be a challenge, PLEASE pray for me, thank you.

  78. Julie Barber says:

Well, my morning used to begin at 5:30am but now I’m up at 5am to start my day with all of YOU! Feeling blessed already… Wasn’t sure how the whole online thing would “feel” but I can honestly say, it’s kind of like all being in the same livingroom. Thank you!!!

  79. Hi.
I am trying to get the study materials. Any help?

  80. Jennifer Chatman says:

I’m going to do mine after I get off work at 12:45 pm, sometime between 2:00 and 3:00 at my kitchen table. Thanks for this Bible study as I learn to become intentionally focused on God and His plan for my life.

  81. I’m a little late to the party, but I’ve found its best when I go to bed early and wake up around 3:30-4am to study Gods Word. When I’m intentional about it I reap huge dividends.

  82. Wow! This is the study I have been praying for. I am so excited about Jesus that I tend to grab onto everything that comes my way and now I can learn to focus on what’s in front of me. In fact, I have already found myself focusing better and it’s only day 2. I already get up at 5 but I set the alarm and get up half an hour earlier. Found myself an hour studying the Word. I’m so excited with this study.

  83. I’m trying to find the papers (like the SOAP) ones that you showed in the videoed. I subscribed thinking it would be sent via email, but I checked my email and it’s not there.

Can you point me in the right direction? Thanks!

Hey there. I am new to this devotion stuff ;) I have a hard time getting up in the morning but I hope to get into this soon and be able to get up a few minutes earlier to get started on this bright and early. Since I am new I am wondering if you have some ideas – like about goals and what applications could be. I just like to know I am going in the right direction. I know God could lead me one way and you another, but I just need a little push :)

  89. We all should be Intentionally Focused on Jesus. A few years ago it was popular to ask, “What would Jesus do?” The problem is, most of the time, they didn’t really want to know what Jesus would do. They just wanted to know what man has taught that Jesus would do. The 1st step in knowing what Jesus would do is to know who He is. The Son of God? Yes. Gentile? No. The first step is to stop reading scripture from a western view with a Greek mindset. The Bible was written in the Middle East from a Hebraic mindset. Jesus was a Jew. If you want to be more like Him, you will become more Jewish. Many have a real problem with that statement. That shows anti-Semitism. We also have to stop thinking of Judaism as we know it today. We need to look at it as God ordered it. Remember, God CHOSE the Hebrew language for a reason; He could have chosen any other, but He didn’t, so there IS A REASON. He CHOSE to have His Son be a Jew; He could have chosen any other, but He didn’t, so there IS A REASON. I spent many years worshipping a Jewish Messiah while denying His Jewishness. Intentionally Focus on WHO He is and you will truly begin to KNOW Jesus and His Father. I know it sounds like a contradiction, but it really isn’t.

for the past 40years my time with God has always been 4:00-5:00 am. Proverbs 8:17 “I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.” Was one of my grandma (Mammaw’s) favs 4:00-4:30am was their time, then our time and is now my time. She went to Glory at the tender age of 98 in 1997. Now Im the Nanna and my granddaughter (now 13 years old) and occasionaly my grandson (now 15 years old) join me in the wee hours of the morn. I sit in the old white rocking chair in the den by the fireplace. (Yes, even in the spring and throughout the sweltering Texas summer). My 80 pound granddaughter still scrambles onto my lap. My grandson perches on an ottoman at my knees or spread his 5’4″ 225 lb frame on the red rug resting before the fireplace. High on the mantle my Mammaw & my husband, mother, father, two younger brothers, uncle and others family and friends who’ve “journeyed on before me”, gather with us smiling down in photos. Hover like the angels they have become reveil, rejoice with us from glory. Sweet hour of prayer. Sweet hour of prayer…

  93. Do you mind if I quote a couple of your articles as long
as I provide credit and sources back to your weblog?
My website is in the exact same niche as yours and my visitors would certainly benefit from a lot
of the information you present here. Please let
me know if this okay with you. Regards!

Hello everyone! It looks like a little late to the party but I know with God that this study is right on time for me! I purpose to rise at 6:30 am and spend time in the Word and with God until 7:00 am. If my husband is home from work I will get up and do this in our family room otherwise I will do it in my bedroom if he is at work. Please pray for me as I begin this journey as I will pray for all of you in yours. It is in the love of Christ I make this submission, I pray God’s blessings upon you all.

This session may be over for some but for me, I Thank God for being on time in my life. I am on step 1- week 1 Wed 5/28/14 reading Hebrews 12:1-3. Discipline In A Long Distance Race (The Message Bible.) I have seen the SOAP process all over and have tried it a few times on my own, but for some reason it just did not stick. When I read Angela’s Example- it clicked for me. I pray that everyday I Intentionally Focus my eyes on the word of God and Apply scripture more to my life than ever before. Thank you Jesus and Thank you GoodMorningGirls.

    All my love

Hiya girls, my pastors wife recently gave me the women living well book and as I read it I found this amazing website, I use to wake up really early to spend time with The Lord before my little boy woke up, but found it so difficult to stay awake I stopped!! I really believe God really wants me to get back in the word and truly live the word! I am going to try and start doing it again though as I believe it’s a good way to start the morning, with The Lord! God bless you ladies!!

    • I can relate to you completely Charlotte! I had intentional time for reading Gods Word every day but it’s hard when we let life get in the way. I had to consciously tell myself that my relationship with Christ is the most important in my life and the only way to strengthen that and grow is to stay in the Word and apply it every day….

  97. Hi GoodMorning Girls! I just joined your Intentionally Focused 8 week study and am so excited to be a part of this group. I’m a 32 yr-old married Christian with a 15 yr-old stepson and I am (sadly) the only Christian in my home. My church family and my spiritual mentor are incredible at encouraging me in my walk with Christ but I would love to expand that group of Christians in my life with GoodMorning Girls. God bless!
