Oh you girls, I love study enrollment time here at Good Morning Girls! So many of you are sharing your excitement all over facebook, you’re prepping and printing and praying, and you’re counting down the days right along with us. During enrollment time more than any other time, I’m reminded of – and so thankful for – the sweet sense of community that God has provided for us in our little corner of blogosphere.
Tonight, I can’t shake this heavy burden for those of you who might feel alone. Maybe you’re new here, searching, or maybe you’ve been around for a while…
For those of you who are struggling internally, but still put on a brave face and answer “good” in the church lobby.
For those of you who are waiting on God, but deep down wonder if He’s really heard your prayers.
For those of you who are physically alone, longing for companionship and physical touch.
For those who have lost loved ones, and are longing for how things used to be.
For sweet mommas who are never alone – and yet feel so completely alone – all at the same time.
For the young girl who feels like she never quite fits in, and for the more mature woman, who isn’t quite sure where she’s supposed to fit anymore.
For those who seem to “have it all,” on the outside, but still feel so very empty inside.
During this enrollment period, I am praying that God would bring the lonely to Good Morning Girls.
Why Good Morning Girls?
Because life was not meant to do alone.
God has created us for relationships: first and foremost with our Creator God: Sustainer of the Universe and yet mindful of me (Psalm 8 – wow!)! But, sometimes I think we forget that in this crazy (often lonely) world- we also need each other. God knew it:
