I’m excited to share with you a new resource for all my GMG moms…..it’s called The Dig and just as we “dig” into God’s Word here on Good Morning Girls, The Dig is a great resource for moms as you help your children dig into God’s Word together at home. That I especially like is the simplicity of each devotional lesson…..not a lot to read yet each lesson gets to the main points of the passage……helping you “dig” and find the treasure each time!

A typical Dig lesson consists of the following four components:
1. The Map: Each lesson has a map. The map tells you and your child where you’ll be going in each lesson. It is a short summary of the study ahead.
2. The Dig: The Dig is the main passage you will be studying. Following each passage will be several questions designed to help conversation and understanding. They are meant to be a guide. You can use them or tweak them to help you talk with your children.
3. The Treasure: The Treasure is the big idea of each lesson. In a short statement, it is what you want your child to remember from the passage you studied.
4. The Display: When an archaeologist finds a treasure, they will clean it up and out it on display for everyone to see. This is the basic idea of the Display. It is the application of the Treasure you have found!

oh my. I’ve been entering every giveaway for this. I’m hoping it will keep my boys attention for more than 5 minutes. I’ve spent alot of money on different devos for them and nothing grabs hold of their short attention span. lol! It may be me because I get tired of fighting about bible reading time with them so I just give up. I dont want their memories of the Bible to be with me alongside nagging them to sit still pay attention and lets get through this. I’ve instead try to incorporate verses in to whatever situation we are goiing through in our day. Which works ok., but I really want them to be able to have a passion for studying the word. wheww. Sorry so long. I would love to win a copy to try it out. If it works, I will be a customer for life and buy every.single.volume. as they come hot off the press!!

I would love a free copy, I just had surgery and am not able to get my credit card to order it, or I would. I love spending time with my kids, especially when I can pertain it to God’s word. In fact, my blog is mostly about that this summer, just doing activities and including a verse in the end that pertains to it. It’s been fun! But now, school will start soon, so this book could be a great substitution. Thanks for your time.

I WOULD LOVE to win the Dig!! I am Aunt Lois to 4 wonderful children, aged 6-10. Currently they live in a very unstable home with their fighting parents. The parents are not christians so you can only imagine what these children are subjected to. I have taken it upon myself to take the responsibility to give these precious little souls the spiritual training. I currently have them getting involved in church/bible class/camp, etc. I need all the help I can get!!
