This past week we celebrated my daughter, Addie’s 5th birthday. She loves anything and everything princess especially princess stories! Knowing this you’ll see why I was so excited this past February when I met Jeanna Young, a wonderful children’s author, who is an answer to this mama of 3 little girls prayers!!! Jeanna writes princess stores inspired by Jesus’ parables. Jeanna’s stories are a win-win for my family! They teach biblical principals and because they are about princesses, my girls love to read and listen to them over and over again!

After 20 years as a corporate event planner, Jeanna Young was called by God to develop the Princess Parable series. She never dreamed she would be a children’s author and she questioned God’s choice in her – for this huge task. God has used her gifts and talents developed over the years to author these books with her mentor, Jacqueline Johnson. God showed her the need for princess role models with character and depth while reading to her own princesses. Living so close to Disneyland, she desired a Disney-style Christian princess role model for her girls.
Jeanna and her husband, Bruce, have been married 12 years and live in Southern California. They are proud to be raising the next generation of Godly heirs to the kingdom – Christian, Danika, Emmalynn and Kenton. When Jeanna is not writing, speaking, event planning, or homeschooling, she can be found scrapbooking her life, redecorating her home, loving on her husband, planning fun events for her kids or drinking too much coffee

I have a daughter named Grace so I know that she would love the one with her name in it. These books look great!
These look great! I think I would choose Princess Grace and the Little Lost Kitten, because I think my little princess is already showing signs of loving animals.
I need these books for my beautiful 3-yr old princess. Her middle name is Grace, so she would really connect with these. She loves all things princess but I worry about her getting the wrong “morals” from fairy tales and love the idea of princess stories that point her to Jesus!
Wow that video clip was a really great way to introduce those books. Never heard of them but def a wonderful option for girls!!!

I have 4 girls who would love this series. My youngest two love Disney princesses, but I have to be careful and diligent when choosing stories for them. I am so thankful to finally have quality choices!
I have a 4 year old daughter Charlize, we adopted last year. Shes a beautiful little girl who was abused and neglected. We tell her daily she is our princess and I am so excided about these books for her. We have been teaching her about Gods love and what Jesus did for us all. She will love these books!

This sounded great, as I have a five year old princess. But when I looked at the ‘trailer’, I was so sad to see that out of 5 princesses, not one represented any person of color. Very disheartening…God is God of us all, created in his own image.

I have never heard of these books and I have a 3 (almost 4 year old) who LOVES princesses! I would love for her to be able to read princess stories that are christian based!
