Friday Reflections: I John 2:12-15 ~ Do Not Love the World

Great job in the word this week!!!

Here’s a video below with some of my reflections from this week’s study:

(If you cannot see the video, click here.)

I forgot to include this week’s challenge in the video.  So here it is:

Remember that everything in this world is passing away – it’s a mirage.  When you wake in the morning, set your mind on eternal things.  As you go about your daily duties, pursue them for God’s glory.  Avoid self-sufficiency, lean hard on God to help you accomplish your goals.  This humility will keep you from taking pride in your accomplishments.  It is hard to remember that this world is not the end game…but rather just the opener for real life that will begin when we step onto the shores of heaven.  Identify one area in your life where you are pursuing worldly things and turn from them.

Week 4 ~ I John 2:12-17

My Good Morning Girls group got together last night at Panera Bread!!!  I love these girls!!! ( you might recognize in the top row –  far right - Janelle – she is a blogger at Comfy In The Kitchen - if you haven’t discovered her yet, check out her awesome recipes and her heart for food ministry).  All of us attend church together, 3 are sisters and the one in the front row center (Kelly) is the one who named “Good Morning Girls” – “Good Morning Girls” –  3 1/2 years ago before it ever was an on-line blog!  She has known me since I was 15.  We were boy crazy together, went on missions trips together, and even curled our hair the same exact way for years! lol! She can give you the full run down on my not so mature moments in life!   But let’s not go there and let’s get into this week’s study! lol!

Can you believe that we are up to Week 4 already? It feels like Fall is flying by! I saw Christmas trees in Sam’s Club this week! So sorry to mention Christmas on a Monday lol!!!

Here are my key word markings for the week:

Friday Reflections 1 John 2:1-11

Today is FRIDAY and you all know what that means……it’s Reflection Day!

For those of you who got behind this week, today is the day to play catch-up and finish your week out!

For those of you who want to dig a little deeper into God’s Word, make sure and take advantage of the extra resources we provided in Monday’s post.

And for the record I’m just letting you know that my sweet husband was playing a trick on me while I was shooting this video and didn’t realize I was recording it……:) Unfortunately I didn’t have time to redo it so I’m so sorry it ends the way that it does. Gotta love a man who still loves to tease you….even after 12 years of marriage!!!

Don’t forget to do this week’s challenge!!!!

Love God Greatly!
