Ministry of Motherhood Book Giveaway!

The Ministry of Motherhood is the story of one mother who has dared to go beyond the ordinary in loving, leading, and training her children to follow Christ. In this honest and inspiring book, Sally Clarkson paints a stirring vision of a mother’s mission and challenges women to disciple their children to be passionate, devoted servants of Christ.”

-NANCY LEIGH DeMOSS, author and host of Revive Our Hearts Radio

What is Good Morning Girls and how do I join? If you are new to Good Morning Girls please watch the videos here

Do I have to be in a group to join? No, you can do this individually if you would like.

Book: Ministry of Motherhood by Sally Clarkson

Where can I purchase it? You can purchase Ministry of Motherhood from Sally’s own website at WholeHeart.Org or by going to Amazon or your local Christian bookstore.

What is the book Ministry of Motherhood about?

A mother’s day is packed with a multitude of tasks that require energy and time: preparing meals, washing clothes, straightening and cleaning the house, and caring for children. These jobs all are necessary and crucially important. But in the dailyness of providing for a child’s physical, emotional and social needs, vital opportunities for spiritual nurturing and training can be overlooked.

Rather than letting the demands of life determine your parenting priorities, you can focus your energy on what matters most. In this encouraging and empowering book you’ll learn how to:

  • make life’s mundane and nitty-gritty moments work for you and not against you
  • incorporate character-building as a natural part of life
  • teach your child in the same way Jesus taught the disciples
  • pass on crucial gifts that will serve your family for a lifetime

Using biblical wisdom and practical teachings, Sally Clarkson shows how you can make a lasting difference in your child’s life by following the pattern Christ set with his own disciples- a model that will inspire and equip you to intentionally embrace the rewarding, desperately needed, and immeasurably valuable Ministry of Motherhood.

  1. Somehow I can’t access the button.

  2. GMG has provided me with a way to fellowship with other women. I don’t get to bible study at my church because the time is when my boys go to bed. I was missing that connection to other believers until GMG allowed me the chance to fellowship and learn with some wonderful ladies.

  3. I finished “Mission of Motherhood” not long ago and would LOVE to get a free copy of this one. GMG has helped me stay connected to God in a way I never have before and strengthened some neat friendships.

  4. GMG means to me that I am held accountable in my morning quiet time. My walk with the Lord is strengthened by that accountability.

  5. I loved “mission of motherhood” and I would absolutely love to read this book as well and do the study with GMG. This past session was my first with GMG and I really loved the accountability to get into God’s word every day!

  6. Kelly Pool says:

I just discovered Good Morning Girls a few weeks ago and look forward to this journey with yall!!

  7. I would LOVE to win this book! I myself have struggled very much with motherhood and the demands of it, and have been looking at this book thinking that maybe it would help me! I can’t wait for the GMG study!!

  8. GMG has blessed me so much! I was struggling with having daily devotions before I started this group. Now I am getting up earlier in the morning just to have my devotions so I can e-mail all the girls in my group before I leave for work! I am looking forward to the new session! Thank you both for starting this group!

  9. I have been wanting to read this book! Thank you for the opportunity to win one. I’m excited about this next session!

  10. Mothering can be challenging and I would love to be a part of this study. I love the accountability and encouragement from being connected with other believers! Thank you ladies for your service to others- what an impact you make because of Him.

  11. melissa l. says:

I really appreciate GMG for the opportunity to get to know other gals in my church on a deeper and more meaningful level. GMG has also given me the extra ‘push’ to get up earlier in the morning to have my quiet time, before the kidlets get up; and send out the first email to my group. Thanks for your godly examples and desires to see women grow in the LORD!

  12. When I discovered this book (and the fact that it’s title was so close to my own blog) I knew I had to read it! Unfortunately I’m finding it difficult to find as my local bookstores (Christian and Secular alike) don’t seem to be stocking it. I’ll order it from amazon if need be but I’d love to win a copy!

Looking forward to taking the GMG plunge. I’ve wanted to participate in the past but didn’t have the opportunity. I think this will be a wonderful expererience.

  13. I really appreciate the Good Morning Girls group. I enjoyed the book of James study. It was the first study I did as a GMG. I learned quite a bit. So did the girls in the GMG group I started. I am really looking forward to this summer study. I definitely need encouragement in this area and I am sure Sally will give much wisdom for the journey.

  14. Well – shoot- this is my first exposure to Good Morning Girls so I don’t have anything to write about what it has meant to me! I think my odds of winning the book are slim. Lol.

  15. Hi! I am new to GMG, but look forward to seeing what your blog has to offer and participating in the Summer book blog! Have a blessed day!

  16. GMG has been a great tool in the last year not only to help keep me accountable to reading and applying God’s Word but also to get to know some of the ladies from my church in a deeper and more meaningful way. Thanks so much!

  17. I really like the author so I really would love to win. GMG helps me be more accountable with my daily time with Jesus & reading my Bible.

  18. Christina says:

This will be my first session with Good Morning Girls. I’m excited to see where God places me in the group! I’ve been enjoying Women Living Well for a few weeks now, and I have to say, Courtney has been a real blessing to me. I can’t wait to start the summer book club!

  19. How cool! I am looking forward to the summer book club and it would be great if I could actually get the book! Woo Hoo!

  20. I have so enjoyed my GMG group since September – there are 5 of us left in our group from the original 12 and we’ve become friends despite living all over the country. I’ve spent more time in God’s word with their accountability than I ever would have other wise. I’m looking forward to this next study!

  21. Lyssette M. Smith says:

My soul yearns to live my life for Christ more and more each day. As a mother of 2 and the call to homeschool them and as well being a Pastor’s wife, I want to be in His word more and more as I seek Him on a daily basis by reading His word. I love to read books that help me grow as a Christian as well and so looking forward to being part of Good Morning Girls and I would like to put a group together and if not I am still going to read the book and link up and follow along. Psalm 42:1-2 As the deer pants for the water brooks, so pants my soul for You, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God? What a verse to hold on to and my He fill my thirst…

  22. Just finished my first session of good morning girls…I loved the accountability with my sisters in Christ. Would love to win this book and join in the study!

  23. Kim Goldstein says:

I am new to good mornings girls and I am so excited to join you all in a summer book club. I am a mom of 1preteen and 1 teenage son. I need all the wisdom I can get :)

  24. I have recently moved and I have not met many people. With the move, I became a stay at home mom, which I am really thankful for. However, I feel as I though I still am not succeeding at it. I am new to the Good Morning Girls, as well. I am hoping this book club and website will help me feel as though I belong and am good at what I am doing.

  25. Courtney Mostacero says:

I would love to win a copy of this book! I am always looking for help and motivation in teaching my children about christ. I dont have parents or other family that are religious so I am doing it all on my own, and dragging my husband along with me. Thank you for this give-away!

  26. I re-ignited my flame and passion for Christ in January of 2010. From that surrender I have been able to look back and see where Christ was with me through the 8 previous years of being a “Christian” and being in the world! The past year has been a blessing to me and my walk with Christ has changed me forever! I so want to pour this into my children! I found GMG sometime last year adn started a group with some friends! We share on FB and TEXTS about our quiet time, our growth, our pain, and and our praises! Your blog inspires me to go deeper or stretch my previous thinking about where am in my walk! You guys are a blessing and almost creepy to say it but I feel at home in your blog :) would love to do the Summer reading with you!

  27. What a great study for the summer. Being a mom is the best job in the world and learning more and more to bring our kids to the kingdom is wonderful. I have had a Good Morning Girls group for a year and have loved every minute of it. It has been a lifesaver to know there are women there that will be praying with you and sharing their walk with God helps draw me closer. I thank you that they were put together. Thanks for all you both do! Love ya

  28. Wow, Good morning girls has been an blessing. It has kept me consistantly in the Word and has also feed me the Word, through my sister’s postings, during days when I just can’t my household together enough to sit down and study. God has also used the postings of my sisters in Christ to reinforce lessons he already teaching me. It is so so awesome to see his hand at work in such intricate ways.
I would really like this book, because I just birthed my 4th baby… and quite honestly there are somedays that I wonder if I am doing this at all right. I was not raised in a Christian home, and I think this book could really help me to learn how to raise my little Christian babies. Thanks! :)

  29. Corie Williams says:

Just finished my first study with GMG, and I tremendously enjoyed the accountability as well as the SOAP method of Bible study. I would love to win this book, because I am a new mom. I have a great desire to lead my children in the ways of the Lord, but as my little girl is just beginning to understand right and wrong, I’m quickly realizing how many aspects of my every day living are required for training my child. It can be quite overwhelming. I’m eagerly looking forward to this study.

  30. I loved the James study with my GMG group and I can’t wait for The Ministry of Motherhood book club study.

  31. I would love to win this book I have just found this website and am very excited about starting the book club and joining a good morning group. Thank you for the opportunity

  32. To say I love GMG would be a huge understatement. This spring will be our groups 4th season (I think). Being accountable to friends and having the encouragement and support from my friends and the gmg blog has been a huge blessing. On days when I might not feel like getting into the word I know my GMG will be asking me the next day where I was.

I am looking forward to this summer reading!

  33. Kathy Lovier says:

Hope to win the book!! I appreciate so much what you and Courtney do. You motivate me more than you know and I praise God for you and for your honesty. I could go on and on……
    Thank you for inspiring me,
    Kathy

  34. I would love to win a copy! Sounds very inspiring.

  35. Alicia Millikin says:

My husband and I have 3 kids ages 20, 18 and 7. We also work with the youth at our church. I feel like I’m a mother-figure to more than just my own kids!! I am so excited to start this book group!

  36. GMG has been so instrumental in my spiritual growth. Not everyone in my group is a regular poster, and it was must harder this winter/spring than it had been this fall to post regularly, but I have found that because of GMG I have been reading in my Bible about 5 times a week consistently and the emailing has helped me really think about what I have been learning. It has helped me take some huge strides in my personal faith. I love this, and I hope I am able to keep a group going for a long, long time. Thank you so much!

  37. I haven’t joined a GMG yet but I’d love to this time. Paired with this study, I am sure to learn a lot and meet some new friends!

  38. Michelle says:

Well, does the fact I’m turning the big 4-0 in two days help my chances at winning??? Haha ;0) Seriously, looking forward to the summer study. I just came across the GMG website a couple days ago and can’t wait to begin. :0)

  39. I participated in GMG Bible study for the first time during the James study and I really enjoyed getting into the word verse by verse and following the simple, yet effective SOAP plan! I can’t wait to start the next study!

  40. I am new to “Good Morning Girls!” I love the fact that as Christian women we can encourage each others to be the moms Christ has called us to be! I am an older mom of 55 yrs, with a 12 & 10 yr olds at home. Thank you for this opportunity!

  41. This session has been very encouraging to me. We have several faithful women who are emailing each day and it has been a huge blessing to pray for them and know that they are praying for me!

  42. I am part of a GMG group with women from all over the country who are homeschooling Moms. I have never met any of them in person but they have become such great friends to me. I would like to do this study with them as well. I look forward to it :)

  44. I look forward to this upcoming study with my GMG group!!

  45. Hattie Ligon says:

Hi, I am a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. I am new to Good Morning Girls. Such a wonderful blog you have! I would love to win the book. I would give it to my granddaughter to help her along the way raising her little family. She and her husband have one little girl and soon they will have their second little girl. She would put this book to good use, for sure!

  46. GMG has been great for me. I have met some amazing women and even though we are an online group I feel like I’ve really gotten to know them and learned so much from them. I have noticed a difference in my days, when I start with GMG. It has been tough to always start my day with God but with GMG it has been easier to commit to. I am really looking forward to hearing from Sally Clarkson every week and reading her book. We will soon be an official homeschooling family and I know this book and Sally will be a great encouragement!

  47. Priscilla Romero says:

Good Morning Girls has opened a new world for me. HAs guided me thru the Bible in a way that was never knowned by me. I live in Costa Rica and as a call from God I´m no longer working which means we live only by my husband´s work salary. Which as a costarican police officer is very low. I´m not able to afford the book, but have been really looking forward to be able to get a copy. I would really like to get one. So I can guide my three little men in God´s path. Thank you Good Morning Girls for opening my heart for God´s blessings into my family.
    Blessing to you all!!!

  48. I just stumbled onto the site and am so encouraged by what I see. I have been looking at Sally Clarkson’s books, but have such a stack of other books I have been trying to catch up first before adding to my stack. A book club and study with a group would be a great way to implement the wisdom in this book.

  49. I am passionate about being the best mother I can to my children and enjoy reading all I can to help me in my calling. I think this book would be a helpful addition to my library!

  50. GMG has given me godly Christian friendships and encouragement, support and accountability I otherwise might not have had. I think summer while the kids are home is an excellent time to read a book on the ministry of motherhood. Looking forward to growing in Him this summer!

  51. As Mothers, we need all the loving encouragement we can get raising children in this world today! Thank you for this giveaway opportuniy! Would love to win!
    {joining in the book club either way though :) }

  52. I participated in my first Good Morning Girls with the James study and I just love it. I love the small pieces you use each day and the discussion that takes place but most of all, I love that we are all joined together seeking our heavenly Father each day. I am really excited about the Ministry of Motherhood. I have looked at the book a few times and thought to get it but have not. This will be a great book to read and I am very much looking forward to it.

  53. I would be honored to add this book to my reading list. I have never read any of Sally Clarkson’s books and would love to learn from her and GMG for that matter! Thank you for the oppurtunity.

  54. I would love to win the book! I checked out Mission of Motherhood from the library recently and would love to win a copy of this book, so I can pass it along to other mothers when I am done reading it!! I think mothers often forget our number one goal and I am one of those mothers :( I am working hard to improve though!! I also plan to join the book club! Such a great idea! Thank you!!

  55. I can’t wait to read this book. I love that GMG has not only brought me deeper in the word, but it has also deepened my friendships with the girls in my group!

  56. Elizabeth says:

GMG has given me the opportunity to grow while being unable to attend bible study at my church. It has encouraged me with all the comments from other moms. I am so excited about this new book club starting I am going to be reading it with a couple of other moms and can’t wait to get started.

  57. I am new to GMG but very excited to be apart of it this summer! I am looking forward to reading this book.

  58. After much prayer, I chose “godly” for my word this year. As I typed that sentence I actually had to shout at my boys because they cannot stop talking to me at the same time. One felt the need to smash a bus into my arm, while the younger gives me a word for word, action by action rundown of the Veggie Tales video they are watching. Right here in this same room, that I can see and hear… I don’t behave as a very godly mother.

  59. I have just recently joined gmg. It has been wonderful and this looks great.

  60. Heather Johnson says:

GMG has provided the boost i needed to get back into the word. I lovelovelove that. I’d like the book b/c I want to give it to a friend! I have the book and it has BLESSED me so much I want to share it.

  61. I just came across GMG today! I’d love to start with this book and book club! I’m a new mom to a precious 4mo baby boy! Thanks for all you do!

  62. I have heard about this book but have never read it. Summer is the perfect time for a book club and I love reading. I know this book will bless me and others. I would love to win. I’m so excited to join!

  63. My Good Morning Girls experience has helped the Bible reading become more alive to me again, instead of just something I cross off my to-do list. Thank you for your inspiration and encouragement!

  64. I’m new to this and SUPER excited to join my group and this is definitely something I’ve been needing and wanting to keep me accountable because I feel like my time with Him has slacked so much since bringing our baby boy home and now being pregnant with our second child…i love being a mom but i know in order to be the mom He has called me to be, I need time with Him first! :0)

  65. Melissa R. says:

I am always receiving blessings from GMG. Y’all really encouraged me to have a consistant quiet time this spring and I totally enjoyed the study of James. Thank you for your time and energy – I am looking forward to the Book Club this summer!

  66. I have already purchased the ebook so I would like to win a copy so that I may give it to a mommy who is struggling with finances.

a latte of blessings & giggles
    Jeanie

  67. I would LOVE to win this book! I just did the James study with GMG and it was such a great opportunity for me to have accountability to be in God’s Word daily and also know that I could go to my group and get prayers when I needed them!

  68. Michelle C says:

I really want to win this, I’m not sure I can get it any other way. What has this meant to me? I did most of the James study, I’m sorry to say it is not 100% done. I did manage to get most of it done and keep up with my normal bible routine and family responsibilites though. I really did enjoy going through James what I liked most was reading everyones take on a scripture passage and seeing how many ways God can speak to people, He always knows just what each of us needs. I hope very much to be able to do the summer one, it looks just up my alley so to speak. I’m a almost always stay at home mom ( work a little at a local fabric store) and love being a wife, mom and homemaker Ü

  69. I would love to win this book. Just the title states what I want my parenting experience to be: a ministry to my children. It looks like a wonderful read!

  70. Sarah P. says:

I am a new mom and feel like I could use as much wisdom as I can possibly get. I would love to win this.

  71. I joinged GMG last summer and was just thinking how the accountability was nice. I have read Sally Clarkson’s books before, her heart and life are an encouragement.

Thanks for the chance to win,
    Amy

  72. Finding Good Morning Girls has blessed my new morning computer visit. Since I found your ministry, a new focus on my calling in the home inspires me to enjoy my life more. I am reminded that I am part of what the Lord is doing in all our families and homes. Thank you.

  73. Cindy E. says:

I would like to receive the book “The Ministry of Motherhood” so I can do the Summer Study with the group. If not, I will still watch the videos and comments. Thank you!

  74. Suzanne G. says:

Our family did the GMG’s James study for our morning devotional (we homeschool). What a blessing to study this book together as a family each morning. I printed out the sheets for and had a notebook for each of us. It looked like I actually had my act together for this!! I also loved it that our last name begins with the letter “G”. The logo stood for Good Morning Garbers :) Thank you for your wonderful studies and the effort behind each. What a blessing you have been to our ENTIRE family, ages 7 on up!

  75. Angela:
My GMG has been an incredible experience. I am in the Word more often because of this group. I am amazed by the insights of my group and I have learned so much from them. I would love to win the book to present as a gift to one of the ladies in my group :-)

  76. I would love to win this book. I have another book by Sally Clarkson and it has been an amazing tool in parenting my children the way God would have me do. That’s no easy task with 5 children, ages 10 to 1.
I recently left a church that followed a false prophet. My family and I have begun attendance at a local bible-based church. We are renewing our relationship with our Savior, Jesus Christ, and building it on correct teachings. Your website is a place where I can find fellowship with like-minded Christian women and receive encouragement for my day. Thank you so much for the work you do. Bless you.

  77. Tracy Hanssen says:

I am not currently part of Good Morning Girls but I am planning to start one with my small group girls in the fall, this will be a perfect summer read! And I am due for some good biblical parenting truth and winning this book would be a huge blessing as we moved to Colorado 6 months ago to help start a church and my husband is still unemployed! God has totally provided for us, but this would be a huge blessing!

  78. i just discovered good morning girls and have been blessed and encouraged.:)…i would love to read this with you all!

  79. I wanna win….I would love to read her book.

  80. I have (3) children that are 15, 11, and 8. I am in my second year of homeschooling and at the point of frustration. I am still having daily struggles with my children with listening, getting their work done and taking me seriously. My teenager is a wonderful girl. She loves God and attends quite a few bible studies and youth groups. As with most teenagers finding the boundaries between friend and mother can be real challenging at times. My husband ownes his own business so he works a lot and I also work about 4-5 hours a day out of the home. I have a pretty busy life and I need some direction. I would love to win Ministry of Motherhood because I really need a new perspective. Thank you for all that you do!

  81. Your website looks so inspiring. I’m excited to dive into this book!

  84. I am brand new to GMG but love the idea of encouraging each other as mothers and Christians!

  85. Elizabeth Morrison says:

I read Mission of Motherhood by Sally Clarkson and loved it. I’m looking forward to reading this book as well :)

  86. Thank you for the wonderful site that both of you have. I found Courtney’s website about a year ago and I thoroughly enjoyed the James book study. Looking forward to following this study this summer. Thanks for all your all work.
    Melanie

  87. Good morning girls has come into my life at the perfect time. I am a mother of three and my husband a month ago decided he need some time away. Reading this blog and Courtney,s has brought me back to reading God’s word daily and taught me that God is in control I just need to be a godly wife, mother, and woman. Looking forward to joining a group for The Ministry of Motherhood. Also would love to receive the book:)

  88. STephanie says:

GMG has helped me be faithful in my reading of the Word. I’d love a copy of this book to use in the summer session!

  89. Tiffany Blackwell says:

I always draw such encouragement from GMG! I am in womens ministry and sometimes I find I am always the encourager. I also find how broken ladies relationships are in their homes and with each other. GMG really shows me how many Jesus Girls are really out their fighting that brokeness and it gives me such hope!

  90. I love my GMG group! It is an interesting group of women, some older with children grown and gone, some working, some stay-at-home, homeschooling, not. I love the accountability and learning what God is sharing for each of these ladies! Thanks for the opportunity to win the book – my library doesn’t have it and right now funds don’t allow for a purchase but I would love to read it with you!

  91. GMG has made me closer to the ladies in my group. It has also kept me in the Word more so than any other time in my life.

Prayers for the new groups and existing groups beginning in the May session.

  92. I am so thankful for my GMG group. The James study was my first time participating and what a rich wonderful blessing it was. Working full time has it’s disadvantages but I was so blessed knowing that my group of women didn’t care what time I participated, but that we all participated and grew together in the Word!

  93. I just found this site, and it looks SO encouraging and helpful. I have 4 homeschooled little kids who I would love to be a better mother to. This looks like a great book!

  94. Lesley DeVaughn says:

I just recently completed the James study using the SOAP method. I followed along each week as an “individual”…not a good morning group. I love your website and I am so thankful that I learned a new way to study the Bible. I will be using the SOAP method a lot and passing it on to those I disciple (my husband is a college minister). I will be doing the summer session with you and will hopefully have a group. I would love to win a copy of the new book.
    Lesley

  95. kathleen says:

I’ve not join in but have followed thru women living well. I am a mother of 4 and need all the help and encouragement I can get.

  96. I’ve just begun following the Women Living Well blog within the past few months. I don’t get to attend the ladies Bible study groups at my church because I work full-time during the days. I was excited to find the Good Morning Girls ministry. I plan to join in as much as I can. It would be great to be the winner of the book, but if not…I’ll be sure to buy it. Thank you ladies.

  97. found you at Raising Homemakers. . . . Was not raised in a Christian home, but want to raise my kiddos to glorify Him. What a blessing this book will be. Looking forward to it.

  98. Megan H. says:

I’m not a member of GMG, but I know the importance of being accountable to others and have experienced it before in the small group that we are attending at our church. I would love to recieve a copy of this book and join in on the study!

  99. Love your insights to the true beauty of everyday living. You are wise beyond your years….Keep up the good work!

  100. To be honest w/ you, I’d never heard of Good Morning Girls until I stumbled upon it a few days ago and it struck my interest. I’ve been a Christian since I was 7, and am now 35, and kind of feel like “where have I been”. My life has had some MAJOR changes over the past few years, good and bad, and I’m working on building my “personal” relationship w/ Jesus. I want to learn how to fill my cup w/ Him. Thank you for investing your time, which as a wife and a mother I know how precious time is, into all of us ladies. Wow!!

  101. To be very honest with you, I had never heard of Good Morning Girls until I stumbled upon it a few days ago. I’ve been a Christian since I was 7, and am now 35, and kind of feel like “Where have I BEEN all these years?”. I have been through a greal deal of changes over the past few years, good and bad, and am desiring so desperately to develop my “personal” relationship with Jesus. I want to learn to have Him fill me up. Thank you SO much for your time that has been invested in your ministry. As a mother and a wife, I know how precious time is. Wow!

  102. I’m new to Good Morning Girls but would love to win this book and join the book study. Sounds like a great choice!

  103. Mary O'Connell says:

I would love to win this book for my daughter who is pregnant with our first grandchild. I’m just learning about Good Morning Girls. This looks like a great website!

  104. Kelly Hankinson says:

I love the format of this Bible study and the accountability I get from my group. I also love the videos and blog comments that help me learn and grow.

  105. I have checked this book out from the library 3 times but have never managed to read it before I had to return it. I’m excited to be a part of a book club and hopefully the “accountability” will encourage me to read it! :-) Thanks for all you do!

  106. I would love to win this book as I am really struggling to help my older kids grow in grace. Too much “just getting through” the days. Thanks for the chance!

  107. Our GMG group has really held me accountable to the Word – James was great, although very convicting! I am on this “motherhood adventure” for the second time around as my husband and I are raising our grandson. So I am hoping for a fresh perspective as my little guy will be home for the summer. I am looking for this book to encourage and reassure me that I have an awesome ministry opportunity ahead!

  108. This book has been on my “to read” list for a while now.

  109. Caroline Cordle says:

Hi – I DON’T NEED A COPY OF THE BOOK, AS I HAVE IT, but, I wanted to still share what GMG has meant to me! It has really transformed me. I am still a work in progress, but my heart has been changed. I am also doubly thrilled, as reading Sally Clarkson has also been a great influence in my change of heart. All of this, along with Ann Voskamp’s book, has led me to be challenged about scripture memorisation. (when we studied James 1:25 my heart was pricked about not being a forgetful hearer, and thinking that memorisation of scripture would help regarding that….) On Ann Voskamp’s blog she talked about learning Colossians. I love the book of Philippians, so thought I could do the same thing, in a year. So, I have been working on print-outs of the reading plan. I had told a few people about it on FB, and they were keen to join in. So, I set up a blog yesterday morning, and spread the news about the memorisation plan on a few of the places I frequent. Well! God is working in the hearts of ladies!I have had about 20 ladies, in one day, tell me they wish to join me! God is so good! :-) Please pray that we “run well”, and do a good job. You can follow us at http://thy-word-have-i-hid.blogspot.com.
THANK-YOU for all you have done, and are doing, to encourage so many ladies to do their devotions. God bless you. x

  110. I just finished the winter Book Club of James with my GMG group, and I cannot believe how much I learned using the SOAP method of Bible study. It was very eye-opening. I’d like to win this book for this book club. Thanks!

  111. I would really like to win this and join this book group even if I don’t win because I have two daughters(13 and 7) and they have told me plenty that I am always too busy to show them love, teach them about love, to teach them about God or help them with anything. We are a Christian family and a military family so everything around the house falls on me to get done. When Daddy is home, he gets to be the fun one, the one that prays with them at night, reads to them, has heart to heart talks with them. I try to sit down and do these things, but most of the time I am so tired I fall asleep. I feel like my girls are looking down on me. Sorry, maybe that was a little too much to share, but I am so tired and feel so disappointed in the type of mom I seem to have become. My heart, my soul, my whole being are crying out to God right now for help!!! Please Lord hear my cry please

  112. I love good morning girls…it’s like having my own bible study at home with my ‘friends’. I told attend a womans group in my church, so this is the next best thing

  113. I found about your site through some blog-hopping. :) I’ve never been part of a book club before, but I love to read, so this sounds really great to me! I have a daughter who will be 1 on May 23, so I’m looking for ways to raise her up in Christ… I’m excited to join this adventure!

  114. Oh thank you so much for this summer’s book club Using THIS book. It is so timely for, apparently, a lot of us. And thanks for entering my name into the drawing.

  115. Barbara Vassell says:

I would like to win this book because I’ve been searching for a long time I’m a new mother and wife. My whole life I have felt that what the world has to offer for women is not what God wants for his women. And I want to use every thing available to me to learn to be a Godly example to my children and my husband.

  116. It looks to be a good book. I enjoy her blog so I’m sure I’d enjoy the book.

  117. I would love to win- I have been looking for a good Bible or book study to join. I have never done one before and this looks like a great one to start with.

  118. I just discovered your site. I’ve always been a Christian, but I have recently committed to living a life close with my God. Thank you for sharing all that you do with us.

  119. …and I would like to win the book, because each piece of knowledge we gain leads us one step closer to Him.

  120. Thanks for entering me in the drawing for The Ministry of Motherhood. I have already been blessed by Sally Clarkson’s blog.

GMG has created a new passion inside of me. That of loving and sharing with my christian sisters. I decided to start an online group for the first time last session not knowing what it would be like or if I could facilitate such a thing. Not even knowing if I’d get any interest from any women. But as a result of being faithful, I met 6 wonderful women from all over. What I’ve learned that as christian women, we all are going through similar things together. Christian women are not exempt from trials and troubles. We laugh, cry, encourage. That has been the joy of GMG. So thank you.

  121. Trudy B. says:

This study would be a great way for me to recharge since I must admit – I am growing weary.

  122. bananasandrice says:

    Yes! I am SO excited!!!

  123. Dominique Culver says:

I would love the opportunity to do the book study with GMG! I love Sally Clarkson and can’t wait for this May 23rd! Thank you girls for putting together this study.

  124. I just stumbled upon this site. Am glad I did. This book looks interesting and I’d love to win it. My husband and I are struggling raising two teenage boys. We want to be intentional in discipling our boys to love, obey and be the hands and feet of Jesus. But, it’s hard to do when they’re pulling away from us (as teens often do). I wonder if this book is more geared to the raising of little children…

  125. Good Morning Girls is inspiration. Thank you for this ministry!

  126. Beth in the Heartland says:

I’d love to win because I want to read this book and neither of my local library systems carry it! Thanks for the giveaway

  127. I have always wanted to read this book – would love to win!

  128. I was just going to come over here to check this out. I’ve heard a lot about Sally Clarkson lately. I was not going to enter the drawing, but then I saw “teach your child in the same way Jesus taught the disciples.” Well, I couldn’t help but enter after seeing that description.

  129. Amber R. says:

I am so excited to start this May 23rd. I just recently found GMG’s blog and I would really love to win this book for the summer book club to help me in raising my 3 young children.

  130. Amber R. says:

I just recently found the Good Morning Girls blog and I am so excited to start the book club May 23rd. I really think this will help me in my life as I mother my 3 young children!!

  131. I am SO excited for this! I have two small children and one on the way and have been trying to be intentional in my parenting. Good Morning Girls has been so much fun so far, I love hearing different thoughts and opinions on things–it really makes you think! It will be awesome to do this with the group as well.

  132. GMG has been a sisterhood when there was none available for me in my transition of physical homes. It was the catalyst for my blog, born out of a desire to love the ladies in my life that I can’t be near with anymore since our move. A true blessing to me! Thanks for all, ladies. Dawn

  133. Christina Batchelor says:

I would like to win this book and join in the reading club this summer to further my relationship with Christ, particularly concerning motherhood. Motherhood has been quite a challenge, and with our 2nd little one due in June, I would love to keep encouraged, inspired, and motivated in this awesome calling of motherhood. Thank you for your ministry through http://www.goodmorninggirls.org and Women Living Well! :o) Christina

  134. I am a homeschooling mom, and one of the first books I read as I started the homeschooling journey was by Sally Clarkson. After recently delivering my 5th child, I am in need of refreshment and reminders WHY I am doing what I do. Winning a free copy of this book would be such a blessing to me! I can’t wait to be challenged and encouraged this summer through this book.

  135. I recently learned about GMG and I’m very excited about the book that you are going to be studying together. I love Sally Clarkson but have not read this book yet. I have 4 children and I am finishing up my 10th year of homeschooling. I have to say that I have battled discouragement, long term illness, insecurities and victories along the way. I think I will make the commitment to read this book along with you to be encouraged and get a new focus on motherhood.

  136. I would love to have this book, I am raising three girls and it is challenging every day to find ways to invest and speak into their lives the truths that I want them to live by. I like to read anything encouraging on motherhood!

  137. I am preparing for motherhood and I also know mothers who are struggling. I would love to have this book as a guide. I missed the sign up for the last GMG but I will be back for it this time. *fingers crossed* Thank you.

  138. I have never done anything like this and would love to be part of it and see how God uses it in and through my life. I have 3 kids under 3.5 (2 very active boys and then a girl) and have a passion for ministry, but honestly the whole kid thing is a still a bit new to me.

  139. I would love to win this book and join in with the Good Morning Girls. I would love to have a group where I can come to and share my thoughts. I feel this book would help me with my relationship with God and my daughters.

  140. I would LOVE to win this book because I am interested in using it for a summer book club for the moms in my church. We could follow along with the GMG blog!

  141. Becky Grunwald says:

Hello! Good morning girls has been my way back to regular quiet time with my Savior in a time when I needed it most! My family is moving from Ohio to Florida (my husband is there already) and this will be difficult for us as everyone we know is in Ohio. We will be leaving behind all of our friends and family. I was blessed to be involved in a wonderful summer bible study last year and was looking forward to it again this year. They chose the book Ministry of Motherhood and I was so bummed that I was going to miss it due to the move. Then when I saw Good Morning Girls has chosen the same book for the online study I was ecstatic! Definitely a God thing, and I really want to be a part of it! God is Good!
    Blessings ~ Becky

  142. Kimberly Clark from Harmony twp says:

Good morning Girls has been a God sent to me. Having children and not being able to leave the house much is a very sad and lonly and depressing time for me. Good morning Girls has given me the chance to pull together and this time around help host for the first time online fellowship. It has given me adult communication and structure with Gods words. It has helped me run/ teach/ guide my home, family and relationship with my husbands in ways I never expected. My whole life has changed to the good and I am finaly beginning to smile once more and not feel so isolated to the world that is so different in opions than mine. Most of all not to be critisized being a 1950′s wife even though I enjoy what I do and to be among others the same is a real good feeling.

  143. I have really enjoyed being a part of Good Morning Girls this past year. I have been encouraged to stay active in my daily reading of God’s word and best of all I have been able to encourage others to do so as well. I have found more peace, joy and contentment in my earthly even when the snow continues to blow in April. :) I am a foster/Adoptive mom and any time I can find a study that is founded in Gods Word dealing with mother hood is great. Some of these children have never heard of the One True God. I use my time with them to give them hope in something much bigger than they are. For with out Christs death and resurrection what hope can we have.

    In His Service,
    Melissa

  144. Mariel augustine says:

As a mother of three and a step mother of two your ministry
Means so much to me. The world says life is
All about”you” We are to live for our children
And never loose sight of it’s a blessing to do so.
God has entrusted us for thier Physical care as well
As thier spiritual. Thank you for your ministry
    As I continue mine :)
    Serving together,
    Mariel

  145. I have enjoyed being a part of Good Morning Girls. As I studied James, it was great to get the insights and thoughts of other women that were studying right along with me. As a mother of three active boys and another baby on the way, I am very excited about this summer’s study!

  146. I just found out about GMG at the end of the James study and cannot wait to begin this one, very much looking forward to it. Thanks!

  147. Oh! I would SO love to win this! I read the Mission of Motherhood after being referred to it by a friend a few years ago and loved it! I would love to win this so I could do the study with GMG! I started doing GMG with the last summer group and been doing it ever since – it’s been so good for me & my friends. Looking forward to starting this next session! :D

  148. Stacey Marsengill says:

Good morning girls was a launching pad for me to begin biblical fellowship and accountability with a new group of girls. Thanks for spurring us on toward love and good deeds!

    hugs and prayers~ Kim S.

  155. Stephanie Whelchel says:

    Hey Courtney & Angela ,

I wanted to say that I am so very thankful for this ministry and that the Lord led me to it. I think you two are doing an AWESOME job!! Three months ago I was so excited about doing the James Bible study and meeting new ladies whose goal was the same as mine. I had no idea what the Lord had in store but I knew this ministry was blessed by Him from the beginning. Today I have a greater understanding of the book of James. I can have a conversation about it with others and KNOW what I am talking about. There have been times when the scripture was a little rough for me because the Lord was speaking RIGHT to me. Thankfully, I repented (MANY times) and praised the Lord all the way through, as did other ladies in our group. We are filled with a diverse group of women, with one purpose – grow closer in our walk. It is so nice to have a place to go to online where I know I will be encouraged. Every day I look forward to seeing who has posted and there is no doubt that our ladies are praying because when you ask for it, you feel it!!  So thankful for each of the ladies and the opportunity that we’ve had to grow. God is AMAZING and this ministry is such a blessing!! I am looking forward to the book club and even if I don’t win the book, I am still participating. Loving God Greatly and Walking with King!!

  156. Heather T says:

My friend loaned me a copy of a different book by Sally Clarkson, and I LOVED it, so I’m hoping to win this book so that I can glean yet more practical and encouraging wisdom! Thank you so much for this giveaway!

  157. Danielle Greenwwald says:

I am a navy wife and stay at home mom. I love being a wife and mother! God has blessed me with 2 beautiful children and a wonderful husband who works hard for our country!!This will be my first time doing a devotional online with other women. I am really looking forward to it and all that God has in store for us!! :)

  158. Hello! First off, thank you for this amazing opportunity. I have recently discovered my faith and it has been SUCH an awakening and blessing for me. I am anxiously awaiting for Good Morning Girls to restart so I may join in for the first time. Winning this book would be a blessing for me and would help me to continue my journey to discovering my faith and help me be the best mother I can to my son.

  159. Although “iron sharpening iron” is a very good thing, the process can a bit challenging. Accountability sounds great, but can be a little scary too. Investing in something that I might dodge in the end honestly seems a little risky. A gift might say to my heart, “Hear you go, my child. Do this for Me and let me bless you.”

  160. kimberlee says:

I’d like to win because I’ve never been in a book club and I love Sally Clarkson’s heart! I’ve been blessed hearing her speak, but have never gotten to read her books.

  161. Jennifer Nyveldt says:

GMG has meant so much to me since discovering you a year ago! I discovered you shortly after moving from CT to PA, at a time when I didn’t know anyone and felt extremely disconnected from everything… GMG has helped me to connect :) It has also greatly helped me in the past few months, through the loss of my Grandfather – he was very sick, and I ended up spending over a month away from home though his last weeks… having GMG helped pull me through and give me a little bit of ‘home’ as I was away! Thank you for your ministry!

  162. Dana Taylor says:

I have just found Good Morning Girls. I am in definite need of accountability!! I have recently made a commitment to God to be a better mom & wife. I also feel that I’m being directed to homeschool my 4 children. I’m a little lost in the areas of my own personal devotions & daily life with my family on chaotic days.
I’ve never been in a book club & also never been part of a ladies group that shared devotions.
I look forward to all I can glean from this group.

  163. I would love to win this book and join the book club. This is my first time coming to this website and I am so excited to be apart of it. Living overseas in a military community, I don’t get to fellowship with like-minded women.

That is the one thing I really miss being back home in the States. Sally Clarkson books are favorites of mine and would like to add to my Godly parenting books. This is definitely a want.

I have done a military bible study online and with a deployment, it blessed me so much…as I know this online bible study/book club would do wonders for me to encourage me along the way.

Thank you for the giveaway!!! jaslinn77{at}yahoo{dot}com

  164. Ione McGinty says:

As a mother of 6 I know we need encouragement every day. I would love a copy of the book to pass on to a new mom as she begins the new journey God has given her.

  165. Cheryl Wade says:

I am ALWAYS thirsty to know more about this because I’ve raised my four and wish I had done a better job, and now so I can be helpful to my children and spouses when they start raising theirs. Thank you!!! (You did a fabulous job on Oprah!)

  166. I just found Sally’s blog recently actually through Woman Living Well, her blog posts have been so appropriate to the things God has been laying on my heart and so I would love to read on her books as I have been so encouraged by her blog!
I participated in the James study this last few months, it has gave me a deeper insight to God’s desire for my life as a woman of God, wife and mother.

  167. Lisa saunders- Hacker says:

I read Woman Living Well and have 3 sons and would love to have a chance to win the book …thank you and god bless you and yours.

  168. Jennifer D says:

I would love to win a copy. I’ve spent the last couple of days trying to find one I can borrow. I’m looking for ways to help my kids walk with God. It is a struggle since I did not have parents who showed me when I was young. I love you and your blog. You inspire me to be a better mom.

  169. Good Morning Girls has been such a blessing for me – I’m reading through the Bible this year, and being held accountable has helped me to make it past just one month of it and then giving up, and it’s also great to hear what other women are learning about in their devotions!

  170. I would really like to read this book to learn more about my role as a godly wife and mother!

  171. I am expecting our first child this year!!! I can’t believe this is actually happening… I would love to win a copy to help me learn about motherhood (I didn’t grow up in a Christian family so I don’t have much example to follow)

  172. Kristie A. says:

I am new to this site but the Book club sounds great and encouraging.

  173. Kristie A. says:

This is the first time I have been on this site but I think reading this book with other women would be encouraging.

  174. Amanda C says:

I am really looking forward to participating in the Book Club! Sally Clarkson is one of my favorite authors, and I haven’t read this book yet.

  175. I would love to win this book. I read the Mission of Motherhood about 1 1/2 yrs ago & it totally changed our lives! I went from teaching high school to bringing my 6th grader home & homeschooling this year. It has been such a blessing for our family & I’m so thankful that God brought that book into my life!

  176. I would love to win this book as I have never joined in on GMG and think this would be a great way to get more involved with other Christian moms and also to build my relationship more with God. I think it would help me to teach my children more about God and have them involved in reading the bible daily as well! Thanks for this awesome giveaway!

  177. Sheila Smith says:

GMG has rocked my socks off! I had the opportunity to join a facebook GMG for the James study and was incredibly blessed by my sisters. Loved every minute of it!

  178. I am so excited about this new study. I am relatively new to women living well. I am in the process of “increasing my faith” and Courtney’s encouragement has been so crucial for me. I am looking forward to joining good morning girls for this study on motherhood.

  179. I found Good Morning girls a few weeks ago.. I am looking forward to hearing from women that love our Lord and love the roll that he has placed us in.. Thanks Ladies!

  180. I just found you through Sally’s blog and I’m so thankful! This is exactly what I’ve been looking for! A kindred spirit and place for encouragement to know our Father and seek Him as we love and guide our children everyday. I’m very excited about the journey to come! Thank you! Thank you for investing in a blog for the purpose to encourage moms. I have a 4 month old, a 2 year old and a 4 year old.. all boys. I want to be the mom that Jesus created for my boys. I need all the help I can get and have so much to learn (wanting to stop all generational sin that has caused so much pain…). Hope I can learn from Sally’s book and understand the path He has for me! Look forward to the give away!

  181. Jacque Watkins says:

Our group of 12 women just completed our first session of GMG’s. I had always wanted to start a group like this, and when I discovered your site, I knew I had to do it. So I boldly sent an email to 14 ladies hoping 5 or 6 would agree to join me…and 12 said yes! We spent the last three months together, emailing daily and have all grown so much in our spiritual growth and have really bonded to one another. Many of the 12 girls have never met, and just today, 5 of us met in person for the first time for a playdate at the park. On May 1st we are all 12 getting together for a full day of fun and fellowship…the first time for them to all meet face to face. Thank you, thank you for GMG’s!! We’ll be joining roll call again May 1st!

  182. I’d love to win a copy of this book, Sally has taught me so much through her books over the years and more recently through her blog, love it. I know a few new- to- be mothers who I’d love to gift with this book. What a help for beginning parents that would be.

  183. I would just like to say Good Morning Girls has given me a whole new approach to Bible Study. My morning time is my study time and not knowing a lot about the Bible during this summer’s James study I really learned the meaning of the scriptures and even though I may not have my own “group study” I consider GMG my group! It was awesome to be part of something bigger than my little community and helping the Mercy House really moved me. It is a need I will continue to support. You girls are doing a great thing and it seems to be growing. I am so proud to be part of it and I am spreading the word about your site to others. Thank you for being a blessing and a needed source for understanding and studying the Bible. God Bless!

  184. I am new to GMG and stumbled here this morning after watching your video on Sally’s blog. I have been wanting to read this book. Maybe I’ll win!

  185. I just discovered this group while looking for some ideas for Bible reading plans. I have heard so much about Sally Clarkson’s books on motherhood and am dying to read them! I am going to sign up on this site and would love to read her book as well. I also have a site with my husband as we are missionaries in Cape Town, South Africa – http://www.reachingcapetown.com

  186. I have been wanting to participate in GMG for a while but I’ve always arrived just a wee bit too late for the beginning of the studies, I’m so glad to have caught on in time this time!
I’ve also had my eye on Sally’s book for a while, it looks so refreshing and encouraging. Winning a copy would be a huge blessing.
Thanks so much Courtney, Angela and Sally!

  187. I have been wanting to read this book for a long time! I want to learn how to teach my children more about Jesus.

  188. Thanks for a great giveaway and book club plan! I would like to win because when I went to my first Mom Heart conference this February, my heart BURNED and burned inside me for more of what God has for me in the realm of motherhood. I want so earnestly for my mommy heart to follow God’s ways above all! :) I know this book will enlighten my understanding more and equip me and help me see areas of weakness and areas to keep growing strong. And I meet *almost* weekly with a small group of moms and would love to share the book with them also. thanks for giveaway and for what you do through this website. Bless you
    ~Alisa

  189. I didn’t discover Good morning Girls until near the end of the James study. I decided I would join in on the next study. I would love to join in this summer group. I can always use more insight into my parenting! Thank you.

  190. I would love to win this book! With 6 kids I need all the help in raising them to be Godly adults I can! But with 6 kids it’s hard to afford every book I want to read!! :O) Thanks for the opportunity! I look forward to being part of this book club!

  191. Rachel Hartings says:

I love reading your blog and knowing that you have embraced motherhood has inspired me. This is something I work on daily. I know the world pushes against us to minimize this role and it is only through Christ that we can find importance and joy in it. Excited to read this book!

    Thanks!

  192. I just found out about your Good Morning Girls and would like to participate this summer. I am a pastor’s wife. I homeschool my two children ,help my husband with the church and take care of my elderly father. I would like to be signed up for the free giveaway of Sally Clarkson’s book.

  193. I would like to sign up for the free giveaway for Sally Clarkson’s book. I am a pastor’s wife. I homeschool my two children, help my husband in the church and take care of my elderly father. I think it would be a great study. I have been thinking lately about how I can impact my children to really live for God. I see too many children that, when they leave home, turn away from God. I want my children to impact their world for God!

  194. I accidently signed up twice above, sorry.

GMG has meant accountability and deeper friendships! I’d love to win this book because I am a cottage parent at the LA Baptist Children’s Home and I have 5 boys in my care (4 teenagers and my own 3.5 yr old)! :o)

  196. Matt Pitts says:

I would like to win this book so I can give it to my wife. We have a toddler and a three month old and I would love to encourage her in the important work she is does every day by giving her a copy of this book. Thanks!

  197. Janeen Breyman says:

I haven’t participated in GMG as of yet, but winning this book would certainly encourage me to join!

  198. Would love to win a copy! I could always use encouragement in the area of motherhood :) God has blessed us with 4 wonderful children and our desire for them is to grow to love and serve our great God!!

  199. I just discovered these 2 sites & I am so excited. I love what I have seen so far. I will be visiting these sites often. I would love to do the book club this summer. I have heard great things about The Ministry of Motherhood & would love to learn from all the other moms. It would be great to win a copy of the book.

  200. I am currently reading Mission of Motherhood. What a wonderful Godly mothering book! I am eager to join in with this book club as well.

  201. In a time of great turmoil, I happened to find GMG. It has been a source of strength and hope, helping me to hear the Lord’s word and see that I am not alone in my struggles. I turn to GMG daily and when I need more than just the daily blogs, I turn to the archives. GMG has provided me a path to learn more about God’s word and his works and is leading me to get into the book that I’ve always had but didn’t really understand how to use or read.

As I continue in this time of turmoil, I have also sought out other sources to understand God’s word as well as how to be the best Mom I can be and how to guide my children in living God’s truth. I’ve recently discovered Sally’s books and a friend downloaded an electronic copy of the “Ministry of Motherhood” for me. Problem is I don’t have a way to read it when I actually have time to read. It would be great if I could carry a copy with me all the time so that when I had a moment it would be there to turn to, like a good friend, to help support me, keep me standing & breathing when sometimes those two things are the hardest to do.

Thanks, GMG, for being a part of my life, especially now. :-)

  202. Sally Clarkson’s books have been in my Amazon cart for over a year at least. I have five sons and homeschool the oldest three. I’ve been experiencing major burnout (possibly started w/PPD) since the birth of #5 last year and need to get back on track. And when Momma neglects her spiritual life, the effects can be seen in the whole family. I need to read this book because I need help in training and winning my sons’ hearts for God.

  203. I would love to win this book and join the study. I am new to this but think the accountability would be great. I have ordered Sally’s other book (Mission of Motherhood) and keep watching for the mail-man to bring it!!

  204. Thanks for the opportunity! Can’t wait…

  205. I am a new mom, and I want to raise my daughter up to love the Lord. I want to do things differently than the way I was raised, so I’m excited to read this book!

  206. Because God’s timing & will is SO PERFECT, in January I came across GMG & became involved w/the James Bible Study w/a lovely group of ladies. GMG (& WLW) has just been a blessing to me & a wonderful example of what a Godly woman should be!! I look forward to meeting, joining & growing w/other mommas this summer! :D I love (being a part of) the women God is bringing together through this website! It’s incredible! It’s so great to see the work that God can produce through an inspiring website such as WLW & GMG. I can’t wait to see the works that will continue to be produced through me! That’s why I am looking forward to “extending my visit” past the James bible study and really looking forward to being a part of the Summer book club as well! I would like to win because there is always room to grow & learn as a momma & it is my full desire to be the mother (& wife) God wants me to be!!! :D

(I don’t know what time this comment is showing up, but I am posting it at 11:36 PM my time on Saturday night, so for me in my timezone – this comment is on time!!! :D )

  207. I would love to be involved in an on line bible study.
With working every day outside the home and also being mom to 3 boys, it is difficult for me to get out at night to bible study.
